How KJSEA Works
1. KJSEA Examination
Grade 6 students take the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment, testing core subjects: English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, and Science.
2. Results Released
KNEC releases KJSEA results, which are available on the official selection.education.go.ke portal.
3. Placement Algorithm
The Ministry uses your KJSEA score, preferences, and school availability to place you in a Form 1 school.
4. Placement Letter
You receive your official placement letter showing which secondary school you've been admitted to.
5. Admission
You register at your assigned school and prepare to begin Form 1 with admission documentation.
